Privacy

Effective August 2, 2026

PalmGuardian does not collect, store, sell, or transmit personal data.

What the app observes

PalmGuardian detects that a keyboard event occurred so it can start a short pointer-suppression window. It does not retain the key value, reconstruct typed text, keep an activity history, or send typing information elsewhere.

Pointer input

During the recovery window, PalmGuardian intercepts pointer events such as movement, clicks, and scrolling. Those events are discarded locally and are not recorded.

System permissions

macOS requires Accessibility and Input Monitoring permissions for PalmGuardian to detect keyboard activity and intercept pointer events. These permissions are used only to provide the app's core function.

Accounts and analytics

The app has no account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or telemetry service.

Software updates

Direct-download editions may contact palmguardian.com to check for software updates. A standard request can include technical connection information such as an IP address and app version. PalmGuardian does not use that request to profile users. Mac App Store editions receive updates through Apple.

This website

The website does not use advertising trackers or set marketing cookies. Its hosting provider may process standard request logs for security and delivery.
